

CHANGE OF STATUS
STUDENTS
If you are in the U.S. with a non-student visa, and you’d like to change to F1 status.
Application Steps
Step 1. Apply to West Claremont (Fill out on-line application or paper application form)
Step 2. Submit the supporting documents for an acceptance letter (Please check the required documents)
Step 3. Receive your I-20 and acceptance letter
Step 4. Apply for a COS to Department of Homeland Security
Step 5. Join the program once F1 status got approved

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

A completed Application Form

Copies of Passport, Visa and I-94

Diploma and/or transcript (high school or university)

Financial statement showing sufficient funds over $20,000 ($3000 extra per dependent)

Financial Support Form, if needed.

$300 Tuition Deposit and/or processing fee

Proof of English Language Proficiency

Photo file: jpeg or png or pdf

Driver's License, if applicable.

Application fee: $150 ($50 additional for each dependent)
