TRANSFER STUDENTS
Students who currently study at another school in the U.S. and want to change their schools.
Application Steps
Step 1. Apply to West Claremont (Fill out on-line application or paper application form)
Step 2. Submit the supporting documents for an acceptance letter (Please check the required documents)
Step 3. Submit the acceptance letter to Previous school
Step 4. Confirm the SEVIS record to be released to new school
Step 5. Register the classes and receive the new I-20
Students should apply to West Claremont 1 or 2 months before their desired program starting date. It is best to speak with a student advisor at West Claremont after submitting an application and documents to confirm the transfer process.
Cancellation Policy

The application fee of $150 will be charged at the time of application. The application fee is non-refundable regardless if a transfer application is rejected or application is canceled.

Prior school’s I-20 form

Verification Status Form (Transfer in form)

Diploma and/or transcript (high school or university)

Financial statement showing sufficient funds over $18,000 ($3000 extra per dependent)

Financial Support Form, if needed.

Proof of English Language Proficiency

Driver's License, if applicable.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
West Claremont University is authorized under Federal Law to enroll non-immigrant alien students and to issue Certificates of Eligibility (Form I-20) enabling students to enter the U.S. with a student visa (F-1).
